(News Bulletin 247) – Sixteen European investors from France, the Netherlands and Belgium – including APG, Candriam, Degroof PetercamAM, Ecofi, ERAFP, La Banque Postale AM, La Financière de l’Échiquier, Mandarine Gestion, Mirova , Messrs. Hottinguer & Cie Gestion Privée, MN, OFI Invest AM and Sycomore AM – representing 1.5% of Engie’s share capital have filed a shareholder resolution entitled ‘Resolution to amend the articles of association on climate strategy’ to be submitted to the company’s next general meeting on April 26, 2023.

Investors indicate that they are pursuing a dual objective:
– obtain enough information to assess the company’s current strategy with a 1.5°C scenario over its entire scope of responsibility (scopes 1, 2 and 3)
– signal to Engie and its shareholders that a growing number of investors want the company to commit to adding an advisory Say on Climate vote to the agenda of the general meeting, every three years for the strategy and every years for its implementation.

The investors are therefore asking ENGIE to update its articles of association accordingly.
