(News Bulletin 247) – EDF informs that Bénédicte Gendry, mediator of the EDF group, has published its 2022 report which highlights in particular a reduction in the number of referrals from individual customers and a high volume of referrals from professional and corporate customers.

Thus, in 2022, the number of referrals from individual customers fell by 14%. ‘The Mediator emphasizes the role of the actions implemented by the supplier EDF and the distributor Enedis, which have contributed to the drop in the number of referrals from individual customers and to the almost total disappearance of certain recurring disputes relating to the supply contract for electricity. ‘energy’, reports EDF.

Conversely, the Mediator recorded a high volume of referrals from professional customers and companies related to the delays in processing their complaints or responding to their requests, which in the context of the energy crisis led in particular to a very large increase in requests from EDF’s customer services.

The Mediator also observed an increase in the number of referrals from consumers, which is linked to the development of activities in services (electric mobility, energy renovation) or self-consumption.
