(News Bulletin 247) – GE has announced improved repair capabilities at its GE Repair Solutions Singapore (GRSS) center.
The shipment of the 100th set of Hot Gas Path (HGP) components, a key module of the HA gas turbine, repaired in Singapore, was the occasion for GE to announce that its site now has the capacity to repair the HA rotor, a ‘crucial service that will ensure the long-term reliability and availability of Class H turbines throughout their life cycle’, GE points out.
Improved repair capability is expected to provide Class H combined cycle power plant operators with faster support, significantly reducing repair cycle time and helping them manage their assets throughout their energy transition journey .
“By investing in our GRSS facility, our customers in Asia and around the world can benefit from high quality rotor services, with faster turnaround times, keeping their assets running reliably for years to come,” said said Amol Mody, president, Services, Asia Pacific and South Asia, GE Gas Power.
