(News Bulletin 247) – LVMH announces “an ambitious plan” for water sobriety with the aim of reducing the group’s overall water consumption footprint by 30%.

Water is an essential component of the group’s activities, such as in Wines & Spirits, Perfumes & Cosmetics and for the raw materials of Fashion & Leather Goods items.

‘In fact, it is a strategic resource that contributes directly to the high quality of the products developed by LVMH and it is the responsibility of the group to act to preserve it’, indicates LVMH.

With this in mind, the group relies on the continuous improvement of the measurement of the water consumption footprint throughout the group’s value chain, on the use of more efficient technologies, on the implementation manufacturing processes that consume less water or the continuation of the group’s regenerative agriculture program initiated in 2021.

“In addition, the group will unveil at the end of 2023 a qualitative objective for reducing its water consumption footprint aimed at improving the quality of discharges into natural environments”, assures LVMH.
