(News Bulletin 247) – Enel and its Chilean subsidiary Enel Chile announced yesterday the signing of an agreement with Sonnedix Chile Arcadia and Sonnedix Chile Arcadia Generación, two companies of the international renewable energy group Sonnedix.

The agreement concerns the sale of the entire stakes held by Enel (approximately 0.009%) and Enel Chile (approximately 99.991%) in the share capital of Arcadia Generación Solar, a Chilean company which owns a portfolio of four photovoltaic power plants. (PV) in operation.

The assets are located in the Atacama and Antofagasta regions of northern Chile and have a total installed capacity of approximately 416MW.

The agreement provides that the buyers (Sonnedix Chile Arcadia and Sonnedix Chile Arcadia Generación) pay a total consideration of $550 million (or around €504 million) corresponding to the enterprise value (100% basis) agreed by the parties.

As such, the transaction should generate a positive impact on the net debt of the Enel group of approximately 504 million euros and on the net result of the group published for 2023 of approximately 20 million euros, estimates Enel.
