(Reuters) – Sopra Steria reported organic revenue growth of 0.3 percent in the first half on Wednesday, with the group saying the scope effect from the consolidation of CS Group and Tobania offset the negative impact of the classification of its assets held for sale and the harmonization of the revenue recognition method for Ordina.
The turnover of the French IT consulting group amounted to 2.95 billion euros over the first six months of the year, compared to 2.68 billion a year ago.
The group recorded an operating result of activity up 13.6%, reaching 285.3 million euros. The operating margin rate, for its part, amounted to 9.7%, an increase of 0.9% compared to the first half of 2023.
“Despite a wait-and-see market which led us, last week, to adjust our organic revenue growth target for the current financial year, our first-half results are solid,” noted Cyril Malargé, the group’s CEO, in a press release.
Sopra Steria has confirmed its objectives for 2024, in particular an operating margin at a level close to 10%.
