(News Bulletin 247) – The Parisian index ended Monday’s session with a small increase of 0.12%. Investors are especially awaiting Nvidia’s quarterly results on Wednesday evening.

A first session without much lesson to learn for the CAC 40 this week. The flagship index of the Paris Stock Exchange ended up 0.12% this Monday at 7,278.23 points this Monday.

The good performance of Wall Street in the middle of the afternoon contributed to pulling the CAC 40 up a little.

But, overall, market participants avoided risk-taking ahead of several meetings later in the week, including the first estimate of the PMI indices for November on Friday.

In reality, the most important publication of the week remains that of Nvidia, which will publish its third quarter accounts on Wednesday evening, after the close of Wall Street.

Tesla thrives on Wall Street

“Analysts predict that Nvidia will see an 82% year-over-year increase in revenue, which will be primarily driven by growing demand for AI processors, particularly the recently introduced Blackwell AI chip,” notes on this point Naeem Aslam of Zaye Capital.

On the value side, Vivendi lost 1.7% after presenting the medium-term outlook for Canal+, which held a day dedicated to investors this Monday in view of its next independent listing on the Paris Stock Exchange.

Note that on Wall Street Tesla is still going strong, gaining 6.5%. The market buys information from Bloomberg which reports that the Trump administration could put in place measures favorable to the deployment of autonomous vehicles.

On other markets, the euro gained 0.3% against the dollar to 1.0571 dollars. Oil is progressing significantly. The January North Sea Brent contract advances 3% to $73.19 per barrel while the December WTI contract also gains 3% to $69.08 per barrel.
