(Reuters) – Vinci announced Thursday to expect an increase in its turnover and its results in 2025, the French construction and concession group reporting an annual turnover up 4% In 2024, above estimates.
Vinci recorded an annual turnover of 71.62 billion euros, slightly above the expectations of analysts who tabled on average on 71.12 billion euros, according to a LSEG consensus.
The group, which expected an increase in its turnover in 2024 of a lower scale than that made in 2023, had specified its prospects several times during the exercise 2024, anticipating in particular in October the potential impact Possible taxes of the French government on the profits of large French companies.
The tax on the exploitation of long -distance transport infrastructure, which entered into force in 2024 after appeal to the French Constitutional Council, did not have a major impact on the results of Vinci.
“The increase in turnover was accompanied by a new improvement in the results despite the new tax on French motorways,” said Xavier Huillard, director general of Vinci, in a press release.
This tax of 4.6% on turnover concerns companies with a turnover of at least 120 million euros and whose profitability threshold reaches 10%.
“In a more uncertain economic and geopolitical environment, the group thus has good visibility on the evolution of its activity and approaches the year 2025 with confidence and serenity,” added Xavier Huillard in a press release.
“Vinci would display in 2025 a new increase in its turnover and its results, before the impact of the increase in corporate taxation in France”, specifies the group, which also announces a dividend of 4.75 euros per share for the year 2024.
Citing a 13% increase in the order book in 2024, Vinci also reports on a record level of free cash flow, at 6.8 billion euros.
The group’s annual EBTIDA was 12.69 billion euros, up 6.1% and above the expectations of analysts who tabled on 12.56 billion euros.
