(BFM Stock Exchange) – The Paris Stock Exchange ends up once again, and its star index refranches the threshold of 8,100 points at the end of this session of Tuesday March 18.

Never two without three. The Paris Stock Exchange continues a third session in the green, with a CAC 40 which increased by 0.5%, at the end of this session on Tuesday March 18. This new increase allows the Parisian index to reconnect with the threshold of 8,100 points and finish its race at 8,114.57 points.

European equity markets, and in particular Frankfurt (+0.98%) welcome the vote by the Bundestag, the lower chamber of the German Parliament, the reform of the so -called “debt brake”. This reform constitutes a prerequisite for the proper implementation of the mega investment plan of several hundred billions of euros in defense and infrastructure.

A first step taken

The ball is now in the Bundesrat camp, the upper room, which will have to rule on this same level on Friday. Deutsche Bank expects this vote to find a positive outcome. However, the great unknown remains the future decision of the German Constitutional Court, points out the German bank, even if there again it judges that the institution should approve the reform.

The increase of the day could have been more marked, without the ambient gloom at Wall Street. Cyclics in shape

On the side of the values, the cyclical titles were distinguished. Strong increase in CAC 40 this Tuesday, BNP Paribas which won 2.95%, followed by Société Générale (+2.5%) and Stmicroelectronics completes the podium (+2.4%)

Excluding CAC 40, Groupe Bolloré lost 5.4% in the wake of its annual results, the title being penalized by the absence of announcements on the use of its important cash.

Valbiotis limited its gains to 1.3% after having indicated to the market that it would be able to cope with the potential restrictions on the use of rice yeast for the development of its food supplements.

Nanobiotix rebounded by 17.6%, after announcing a renegotiation of his license contract with Janssen signed in 2023, which allows him to extend his financial visibility until mid-2026.

In other markets, the euro grabbed 0.2% against the dollar to 1.0935 dollars. Oil is now downward oriented. The May contract on the Brent de Mer of the North gives up 0.9% to $ 70.43 per barrel while the April that on the WTI listed in New York loses 1% at 66.67 Dollars per barrel.
