It is noted that General Korkas Konstantinos of Athanasios was born in Poulitsa, Corinth in 1921. He graduated from Military School Euelpidon in 1943 with the rank of Lieutenant (PZ). He was demobilized in 1980 with the rank of Lieutenant General and with the title of Honorary Commander of the 1st Army.
Took part in warfare of Crete (1941), North Africa (1942-43), the Aegean islands and the Dodecanese (1943-45) and finally the operations of the period 1947-49 where he was injured twice.
A few months ago, the Chief of General Staff, General Konstantinos Floros, made a special mention of General Korka in a post on Twitter.
