With many events and workshops, young and old will have the opportunity, next to the green trees of the grove, to have fun and to be educated in a more environmentally friendly way of life.

Activities for children include, among others, three experiential workshops from “CANTINA”: the “Small Bed” in which young visitors will paint their own clay pot, plant beans and sunflowers, paint on canvases with a theme “Afternoon on the grass” and will make works of art from natural and recyclable materials. Also, with the guidance of the cultural organization “ARTENS” the children will beautify with their imagination the collectible recycling bins, painting them.

Among the rich actions, the Panathiki Federation of Market Vendors will distribute seasonal fruits and vegetables to visitors and will provide the raw materials for the chefs of the “Acropolis Chef Club of Attica” to cook delicious dishes on the spot. The organization “Earth” with the action “Become a farmer on your balcony” will educate visitors what they can plant in the garden, terrace or balcony and how to make compost at home while the Special Grading Association of Attica will distribute ready compost.

The Reimbursable Revenue Agency will be there with the mobile reimbursement center, as all the bodies that will be present aim at the best information on how the citizens can do as much as possible correctly and as much recycling as possible. In addition, “Clean Up Greece” will inform the public about its next cleaning trips, so that more citizens can participate in the effort for a cleaner city.

Visitors will have the opportunity to admire the winning works from the second photo competition for NATURA 2000 sites “Click in Nature”, in the framework of the project “LIFE-IP 4 NATURA” of the Directorate General of Sustainable Development and Climate Change and to browse with virtual reality glasses on the paths of Hymettus.
