ELAS defends the borders of Greece in Evros together with the army, Frontex and the Akrites. “Anyone who dares to challenge our sovereign rights will fail.” This was emphasized by the Minister of Civil Protection, Takis Theodorikakos, before the screening of the documentary Proud Blue (Proud Blue) dedicated to the Greek police, which was directed by the award-winning Greek-American journalist Athena Krikeli.

Mr. Theodorikakos also pointed out that the borders have been strengthened with new border guards by technical means and any security threat is being addressed.

He stressed that the Greek police are fighting selflessly throughout the country to prevent crime and the safety of citizens. “We are by the side of every police officer in all difficult times. “We are building a new relationship of mutual trust and mutual understanding between the Greek citizen and the police officer,” said Mr. Theodorikakos.
