The ultimate toast with omelette

Perfect idea for breakfast, for brunch, but also for a quick and easy dinner.

Many times we have the unbridled desire to enjoy a rich breakfast, which is tasty, fast, easy and keeps us full and satisfied for many, many hours. Children feel the same way, with the countless school and extracurricular activities, but also teenagers, with their incomparable appetite. The solution lies in the ultimate toast with omelette and the filling of our choice, something between egg slices and sandwiches together! Try it!

In a bowl, whisk the eggs with the spring onion or oregano or the mint and salt and pepper, until fluffy. Grease a small pan with a little oil and put it on high heat. Pour the egg mixture and spread it all over the bottom of the pan, in a thin omelette.

Put the pieces of bread in the center of the omelette, side by side (leaving a little space between them), let them absorb a little of the egg mixture and turn them on the other side.

Let the omelette with the bread bake on one side and turn it on the other with a spatula.

After it is cooked on the other side, turn the edges of the omelette inwards, making a square package.

Spread the ham and cheese on top and fold the package in half.

Bake for another 1-2 minutes, until the cheese is melted.

Materials

Servings: for 1 toast

  • 1 slice of toast, cut in half, vertically
  • 1/2 chopped green onion or a little oregano or mint (optional)
  • 2 eggs
  • salt, freshly ground pepper
  • a little oil to grease the pan
  • 1 slice of ham, cut in half vertically
  • 1 slice of cheese or cheddar, cut in half vertically

Procedure
