Shots fired in Ano Liossia: They took up arms for family disputes – A case was filed against 13 people

Personal differences between their children are said to be the reason that led two Roma families to a confrontation culminating in the shootings in Ano Liossia and Aspropyrgos last Monday (13/6).

According to the Hellenic Police, a case was filed against 13 locals for the specific case, for the -in the case- offenses of attempted homicide by conspiracy, damage to foreign property by conspiracy, extortion and violation of the legislation on weapons by the West Attica Security Sub-Directorate.

From the above accused, the 3 and specifically 18-year-old locals as well as 19-year-old and 29-year-old locals were arrested, at noon on Monday (13/6 /) by police officers of the West Attica Security Sub-Directorate in collaboration with OPKE police officers.

The above defendants, who belong to two different families, are involved in attacks by shooting at houses that took place on both sides, due to personal differences, in the areas of Ano Liossia and Aspropyrgos on 13/6.

What was found in the investigations

From the investigations carried out, found and confiscated:

• 9 shotgun cartridges
• 10 cups of 9 mm
• firearm projectile
• 35 cartridges of 9 mm
• a large number of shotgun cartridges
• 2 I.X.E. cars

The arrested were taken to the Athens Public Prosecutor.
