After almost two years of postponing parties, the wedding market is now taking off.
Quero de Casamento, Magalu’s gift list website, saw revenue rise 133% in the first five months of this year compared to the same period last year.
Another sign of the heating up in the area is the increase in the number of consortia made to pay for the party. Considering only the contracts for parties, the Magalu Consortium advanced 166%.
The service sector, which includes parties, travel and surgeries, grew 20% at Consórcio Magalu, driven by wedding celebrations, according to Angélica Urban, manager at the company.
