Animal abuse, filth, fasting, stray food and water, nest poisonings, the hundreds of sterile puppies that give birth all the time, are the tragic reality of a historic area that is still – in terms of animals – in the Middle Ages. .

The situation could perhaps improve, albeit slightly, if the mayor of Tripoli, who built the shelter in his honor, even invited the presidents of the communities to a meeting, or made some attempts to neuter animals, and to pass the message that the animals they are sentient beings. They are in pain, they are hungry, they are thirsty, they are suffering. Otherwise the beautiful Arcadia and the historic Tripoli will be, as they already are, for many of our sensitized and civilized fellow citizens places to avoid, due to the situation that prevails for the animals.
