Volos: “Kamel” is in prison again for attacking a 30-year-old father with a baby

The father of the child told the court that he was in a state of shock, began to tremble, took the stroller and ran and shouted for help.

The 39-year-old was taken to Larissa prison and is expected to be released after staying for 6-7 months (3/5 of the sentence), as provided by the Penal Code.

The offender was arrested at 10.45pm on Sunday night in the center of Volos, after a complaint from one A 30-year-old father who was walking with his 16-month-old baby boy in a strollerthat she started shouting at him, tried to hit himHe started pushing the stroller and stalking his father when he tried to walk away.

He was aggressive for no reason

The 30-year-old father testified that he was sitting with the stroller where his 16-month-old boy was on a bench in Ag. Nikolaou, on Ermou Street in Volos, the crowd was large, as the events of the “Nautical Week” were over.

The 39-year-old suddenly approached him and told him with an aggressive height “Did you get an ambulance I told you about”?

The 30-year-old was surprised and his first concern was to make the stroller with the child right, so that the 39-year-old does not talk over the child and told him to leave because it scares the baby.

Then “Camel” started shouting at him “why did not you get an ambulance?”, While the father of the child testified in Court that with one hand he held a sharp object he took out of his pocket and did not understand exactly what it was from the other hand a bag containing a soft drink bottlewho assumed it contained gasoline and was afraid of throwing it at his child.

The 39-year-old then moved threateningly against the 30-year-old, tried to hit him with fists and since he did not succeed started pushing the cart, who fortunately found resistance on the bench and the child did not fall.

The father of the child in shock, began to tremble, he took the cart and ran, he cried for help, no voice came out of him, “Camel” chased him for 30 metersthe people next to him were watching the incident and called “100” in a state of shock while other bystanders called and finally police officers went to the spot and arrested him.

He also said that he called his wife and could not explain to her what happened, he said that he has been eating since yesterday, his wife cries at home, while the child was terrified, bruised, crying and asking for his mother…

The 30-year-old cried in court with the description of the incident he made with tears, he told the judges that he is not well and they should put him inside.

What “Camel” said

In his testimony, the accused admitted that the 30-year-old told the truth, he himself approached him first to call an ambulance because Mr. Dimitris, who is ill and drinks alcohol, was sleeping in an adjacent ice rink.

The 39-year-old ehe said he did nothing in the cart and did not try to throw the child.

To the questions of the judge and the prosecutor, the 39-year-old answered that he said to call an ambulance for Mr. Dimitris.

The district prosecutor suggested he be found guilty and committed bodily harm and threat of persecution.
