An amendment to the bill of the Ministry of Finance that is discussed tomorrow in the Plenary Session of the Parliament, provides, among other things, extension of the validity, until December 31, 2022, of the reduced VAT rate of 6%:
- Goods related to public health. These include protective masks and gloves, antiseptics, disinfectant solutions, antiseptic wipes, as well as disinfectant products and other items used for antiseptic or disinfectant purposes.
- Certain medical supplies needed for dialysis, such as filters and lines for dialysis and dialysis.
In a statement, the Ministry of Finance states: “The Government, with a high sense of social responsibility, proceeds to the forced extension of the exaggerated VAT rate of 6% for the above goods, proving once again the support of citizens and society by voting strong social sign “.
