Today’s weather: A slight drop in temperature – Where rain is expected

Summer weather is forecast for today in most of the country, with a chance local rains and isolated storms in the mainland, mainly in eastern Macedonia, Thrace and the rest of the mountains.

North northwesterlies will blow winds and locally in the Aegean they will reach 6 to 7 Beaufort.

A small drop will be noted by temperature which will reach up to 37 degrees. In Attica the mercury will “show” up to 36 degrees and at Thessaloniki up to 33.

FORECAST FOR THURSDAY 07-07-2022
GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS – WARNINGS
Generally clear weather. Partly cloudy mainly in the midday and afternoon hours in the continental areas with local rain and possibly isolated storms mainly in eastern Macedonia, Thrace and the rest of the mountains.
The winds will blow north northwest 3 to 5 and locally in the Aegean 6 to 7 Beaufort.
The temperature will drop slightly in the north. It will reach 33 to 35 degrees in the north, 36 to 37 in the rest of the mainland and 30 to 32 degrees Celsius in the islands.

MACEDONIA, THRACE
Weather: In eastern Macedonia and Thrace a few clouds, temporarily increased in the midday and afternoon hours with local rain and possibly isolated storms. In the rest of the areas few clouds in the afternoon-afternoon.
Winds: From north directions 3 to 5 and in central Macedonia temporarily in the morning up to 6 Beaufort. Gradual weakening from evening.
Temperature: From 18 to 35 degrees Celsius.

IONIAN ISLANDS, EPIROS, WEST STEREA, WEST PELOPONNISOS
Weather: Generally clear. In the midday and afternoon hours, clouds will develop in the mainland and in the western Peloponnese as well as in the mountains of the rest of the regions, there will be local rain and possibly isolated storms.
Winds: Northwest 3 to 4 and in the Ionian locally 5 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 19 to 36 to 37 degrees Celsius.

THESSALIA, EASTERN Mainland, EASTERN PELOPONNISUS
Weather: Generally clear with temporary clouds in the midday and afternoon hours in the mountains, where there will be localized rain and possible isolated storms.
Winds: Northerly 3 to 5 and moderate in the morning in the east to 6 Beaufort. From noon-variable 3 to 4 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 19 to 36 to 37 degrees Celsius.

CYCLADES, CRETE
Weather: Clear.
Winds: North-northwest 5 to 6 Beaufort and in the east temporary 7 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 22 to 30 and in southern Crete up to 34 degrees Celsius.

EAST AEGEAN ISLANDS – DODECANISE
Weather: Clear.
Winds: North northwest 5 to 7 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 23 to 35 degrees Celsius.

EUBOEA
Weather: Clear. Partly cloudy in the afternoon-afternoon hours.
Winds: Northerly 3 to 5 and moderate in the morning to 6 Beaufort. From noon variable 3 to 4 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 21 to 33 degrees Celsius.

ATTICA
Weather: Generally sunny with temporary clouds.
Winds: North northeast 3 to 5 and from the afternoon variable 3 to 4 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 21 to 36 degrees Celsius. In the east the maximum 2 to 3 degrees lower.

THESSALONIKI
Weather: A few clouds temporarily increasing at noon and in the afternoon.
Winds: Northwest 3 to 4, temporarily in the morning hours 5 to 6 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 22 to 33 degrees Celsius.

FORECAST FOR FRIDAY 08-07-2022
The weather in the country will change with increased clouds, local rains and sporadic storms initially in the Ionian, Epirus and western Macedonia and gradually in the rest of the mainland, Evia and the Sporades. The phenomena mainly in Epirus, western and central Macedonia and Thessaly are likely to be intense in places.
Winds will blow in the west south southwest 4 to 5 which will gradually turn to northwest 5 to 6 Beaufort. In the east from northern directions 4 to 5 and in the south-eastern Aegean locally 6 Beaufort.
The temperature will drop mainly in the north where it will reach 28 to 30 degrees, in the rest of the mainland 31 to 34 and in the island country 29 to 31 degrees Celsius.

FORECAST FOR SATURDAY 09-07-2022
In the Ionian, the mainland, the Sporades, Evia and gradually in the islands of the northern and eastern Aegean, clouds with local rains and sporadic storms. The phenomena which in the central and northern areas are likely to be intense in places, will weaken from the afternoon in the west. In the rest of the country, few clouds, temporarily increased.
Winds will blow from north directions 4 to 6 and in the Ionian region 7 Beaufort.
The temperature will further drop across the country.

FORECAST FOR SUNDAY 10-07-2022
In the eastern mainland, eastern Macedonia, Thrace and the Aegean, unsettled weather with temporarily increased clouds, local rains and isolated storms. The phenomena in the evening will weaken and the weather will improve. In the rest of the country, generally clear weather with temporary clouds in the continental areas in the midday and afternoon hours, when there will be local rain and isolated storms mainly in the mountains.
Winds will blow from north directions 4 to 6 and in the Ionian region 7 Beaufort.
The temperature will not change appreciably.

Generally clear weather, with temporary clouds in the continental areas in the midday and afternoon hours, when local rains and isolated storms will occur mainly in the mountains.
