The new laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease (individuals) recorded in the last 24 hours were 18,948. The total number of people who fell ill amounts to 3,811,622 (daily change +0.5%), of which 48.5% are men.
The number of possible new reinfections recorded in the last 24 hours was 3,929 while since the beginning of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic the total number is estimated at 199,004 (5.0% of the total number of positive results).
The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 22, while a total of 30,422 deaths have been recorded since the start of the epidemic. 95.7% had underlying diseases and/or age 70 years or older.
The number of intubated patients is 101 (62.4% men).
Their median age is 72 years. 92.1% have underlying diseases and/or age 70 years or older. Among intubated patients, 36 (35.64%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 65 (64.36%) are fully
vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,741 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The admissions of new COVID-19 patients to the territory’s hospitals are 362 (daily change +8.71%). The average seven-day admissions is 301 patients. The median age of the cases is 37 years (range 0.2 to 112 years), while the median age of the deceased is 80 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
