Save 2021: Deadline July 19

by

The program in the current cycle has a public expenditure budget of 632 million euros

The process of subscribing beneficiaries to the “Save 2021” program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is entering the final stretch.

It is recalled that, within the framework of the program, the initial results of submissions of single-family houses/individual apartments were announced on April 28, based on which 87,246 applications were submitted, of which 40,012 were initially qualified as eligible and 47,234 as runners-up.

In the application phase, no documents supporting the participation file were submitted.

For the initially eligible applications, on 20/5/2022 the period for electronic submission of the supporting documents required and in particular the Electronic Building Identity (EBI) began, which ends on 19/7/2022.

According to the TEE, already since 20/5 tens of thousands of beneficiaries have digitally completed the supporting documents and the Electronic Building Identity, which is necessary for checking and cross-checking the legality, use, area and age of the property, and finally for the ranking of the applications.

It is also emphasized that for the great majority of applications (except for special cases and recent acquisitions) the verification of supporting documents, data and evaluation-ranking is done automatically and electronically by the information system.

However, according to the TEE, despite the ever-increasing rate of completion of procedures by interested parties and their advisors, many thousands of initially eligible applications for completion of supporting documents and HTI are still pending.

Thus, those who do not complete the required supporting documents and Electronic Identity within the deadline that expires on 19/7/2022 risk not being included in the Temporary Tables of Eligible-Runner-up applications that will be issued per Regional Unit, in accordance with the Program Application Guide and instead are listed in the tables of Rejected Applications.

According to the TEE, the period until 19/7 is considered critical for the completion of the pending applications and everyone is invited to contribute to the successful completion of the procedures concerning them, so that there are final results quickly and the electronic process and the inclusion of the proposals, so that the financing of the projects and the receipt of the advance payment of the aid for the beneficiaries can be done earlier, in view of the coming winter.

It is recalled that the Technical Chamber of Greece is the Implementation Body of the “Excoionamo 2021” Program designed and implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with resources from the Recovery and Resilience Fund (Greece 2.0).

As part of the project, a large-scale energy saving effort is being attempted in homes and apartment buildings throughout the country. The program in the current cycle has a public expenditure budget of 632 million euros and is addressed to all income categories, with an emphasis and high rates of assistance to vulnerable households.

At the same time, the implementation of the interventions that will exceed 1 billion euros is expected to provide a significant boost to the construction sector and engineers across the country.
