The news that a man tried to lead newborn puppies to a horrible death by placing them in a bag to throw them away is shocking and saddening.
Specifically, according to patrisnews.gr, a resident of Peristeri Ilida publicly complained that they caught a man red-handed who was preparing to throw away newborn puppies, which he had put in a sack.
Fortunately, the residents caught up with him and saved the puppies, who returned them to their mother.
They themselves called the police who proceeded to arrest him as animal torture is a criminal offense and is prosecuted and may result in imprisonment.

“We caught him on his own going to throw away 6-day-old newborn puppies sealed in a sack!!!!!A resident of Ilida dovecote!I received a call this morning that a farm car was carrying a sack with 5 sealed puppies, going to throw them away!!!!! !I immediately went to the spot ..the car was stopped…and I saw a sack, tied tightly in a knot and inside 5 newborn puppies 6 days old crying!!!Closed in a sack, suffocating..with their obscene torture .until he threw them away obviously in some bin!!!! I called the police on the spot, he went on his own and will be detained and let’s hope the justice works and makes the right decision! A felony and has an administrative fine of 50,000 euros for each animal, as well as a prison sentence of up to 10 years!!!! Let’s see… what the justice will decide!!! CALL THE 100!
