The 48-year-old protagonist of the case of deception of dozens of seriously ill patients was taken to court from prison, where he returned on November 28, after being discharged from the Hospital, although he should have been in quarantine.
“The ‘pseudo-doctor’ who had not appeared in the previous three court hearings and had not authorized his lawyers to appear, appeared before the judges today in the case of the 12 homicides of patients who abandoned their treatments and were left to his alleged treatments.” Dr. Kontou “and the 14 patients who were in serious danger due to the trust they showed in the accused and the dangerous treatments he offered for a fee.
His presence today at the MOD provoked the reasonable question of the president who asked if the accused has undergone a molecular test. According to the “pseudo-doctor”‘s defense lawyer, his client was discharged from Evangelismos on the 28th of the month and “a five-day quarantine has been ordered for epidemiological reasons by Evangelismos”.
