The A21 electronic platform for the beneficiaries of the child allowance has been open and operating since the morning, as announced by the Organization for Welfare Allowances and Social Solidarity (OPEC).
Beneficiaries of the allowance who have not yet submitted the application A21 for the year 2021, can submit it on the platform of IDIKA (idika.gr) or through the website opeka.gr, using the personal passwords of the beneficiary in TAXISnet .
The amount entitled will be calculated based on the dependent children that will be declared in the A21 of 2021 and the total family income that the beneficiaries had in the tax year 2020.
After the submission of the current year tax return or its amendment, the amount of the allowance is automatically recalculated, before each payment, based on income and no re-application of A21 is required.
As mentioned in an announcement of OPEC, the electronic platform for submitting the application A21 allows, through extensive electronic intersections with available databases of other bodies and services, the control of the accuracy and correctness of the declared data and information at the application stage.
To be eligible for the benefit, the application must be final and approved. Please note that an application temporarily saved is considered unsubmitted and will not be considered.
In order to facilitate the submission of application A21, OPECA points out the following:
The AMKA of all family members registered in the application-responsible statement (A21), must be valid. (There is also the possibility of electronic control at amka.gr).
Students of AEI-TEI and other public schools must have valid academic IDs (pass).
Students transferred in 2021 must also have the academic ID number they had before their transfer available. In case he is not available, they are invited to attach electronically to A21 a certificate of first registration.
Foreign citizens or expatriates who have a Special Expatriate Identity Card must, at the time of submitting the A21 application, have valid residence permits in Greece. If residence permits are not cross-checked electronically, they will be asked to attach them electronically.
For dependent children who in the year 2021 are 19 years old (year of birth 2002) and are students of secondary education (Gymnasiums, Lyceums, EPAS, EPAL, etc.) the beneficiaries must enter in the relevant fields of the application the student registration number, as well as the registration number of the school he attends. In cases where the declared data are not cross-checked in terms of their accuracy, they will be asked for the electronic attachment of a recent (issue within 2021) certificate of studies in the A21 application.
Dependent children over 18 who are students of IEK (private-public), colleges or students of higher and higher education who do not have an academic identity (pass), such as theater, dance, etc. schools or students of recognized institutions abroad or students of the post-secondary year-apprenticeship class of EPAL, must have recent certificates of study (have been issued within 2021) from their schools. In cases where the declared data are not cross-checked in terms of their accuracy, they will be asked to electronically attach the certificate to application A21. Certificates from foreign institutions must be legally translated.
In cases of separated parents claiming child allowance for the same dependent children, the electronic attachment of the court decision or any private agreement regulating the custody of the children or the responsible declaration of the other parent or the electronic consent of the other spouse is mandatory. In the case of divorced parents, the electronic attachment of the court decision assigning custody is mandatory.
In the applications that are attached, the approval is made, after the verification of the attached supporting documents by OPEC employees and, then, the payment follows.
