Onion rings without gluten

In 15 minutes you will have a delicious snack or appetizer for 6 people

What you will need:

3 large onions

250g gluten-free self-rising flour – you can use plain flour

330ml Lager beer

salt and pepper

1 liter of sunflower oil

How to make it:

Add the oil to a deep pan. We warm up well.

Peel the outer skin from the onions and cut into 1 cm slices.

Break into rings the narrowest keep the 2 together. Add the spices, flour and lager to a bowl and whisk (either by hand or with a mixer).

Take an onion ring, dip it into the batter making sure it is completely coated and carefully drop it into the oil. Repeat until the pan is full.

Leave the onion rings until they are golden brown on the underside (about 2 minutes – if it takes longer, raise the heat of the oil a bit). At this stage, flip them over and cook until golden brown on the other side as well.

Remove from the pan with a slotted spoon and place on a wire rack to cool, allowing excess oil to drain. Repeat for remaining onion rings. Try as quickly as possible for the best crispy result.
