Earlier, the autopsy on the 23-year-old student was completed.
The coroner performed the autopsy at the Piraeus coroner’s office Ilias Boyokas, who, speaking to skai.gr, attributed his death in cardiorespiratory failure.
Specifically, according to the experienced medical examiner, “he suffered myocardial ischemia, cardiorespiratory failure.”
However, he clarified that he will know the exact causes of death when he gets his hands on the results of the laboratory tests that will provide useful information, such as whether the unfortunate Thanasis was suffering from corona virus.
It is recalled that according to the report of LamiaReport, the 23-year-old student was not feeling well since Tuesday morning. At noon, he did a self-test and came out positive for the corona virus, while another member of the group had symptoms, but the test for him was negative.
On Tuesday afternoon the group went to the beach. Thanasis had stayed on stage and came down a little later when he felt better. He sat at a safe distance from his friends, but a short time later he threw up and immediately passed out.
His friends called an ambulance and sought a private doctor at the campsite.
Until the ambulance arrived, the doctor who was at the scene and his friends tried to revive him, but without success.
The 23-year-old student was picked up by the ambulance and taken to the Sifnos hospital. There the doctors received him with almost no pulse and for about 40 minutes they tried to revive him, unfortunately to no avail.
