The bases for admission to universities were announced on Thursday afternoon (28/7) by the Ministry of Education by publishing the detailed tables for General High Schools (GEL) and Vocational High Schools (EPAL).
There are 61,682 candidates from general and vocational high schools admitted this year to the Universities, the Supreme Ecclesiastical Academies, the ASPAITE, the ASTE, the Military and Police Schools, as well as the Academies of the Fire Brigade, the Merchant Navy and the Coast Guard. The total number of candidates for selection amounted to 73,405, of which 61,143 candidates through the GEL procedures and 12,262 candidates through the EPAL procedures.
As far as the public IEKs are concerned, the total number of candidates with a finalized parallel computer program this year reached 20,432, of which 18,812 candidates are high school graduates of the 2021-2022 school year, while 1,620 are graduates of previous years. Also, 157 candidates were selected in the special category, while 20,275 were selected in the general category.
