The 53-year-old warden who is accused of raping a 14-year-old girl in Lesbos was sentenced to pre-trial detention after his confession.
He was apologizing early Tuesday morning for the case.

The 53-year-old appeared before the judicial authorities accompanied by a lawyer from Athens as his colleague from Mytilini, who had been appointed initially, resigned and no lawyer from the island accepted to take over the accused.
The mother of the victim stated to ERT that she is certain that he has molested other girls as well, while as reported by the state channel, there is information that another girl has been summoned to testify. “A beast is, a beast, this, and I want this to be heard, that it is a beast. These people are sick. I just want it to go where it needs to go and hurt like my child did. Psychologically, she is not well at all, she cries all day,” he said.
On Monday morning, the arrested policeman was taken from the Lesvos Police Department to the courthouse under draconian security measures.
There, the parents of the 14-year-old victim who was his victim were waiting for him, who as soon as they saw him erupted with the minor’s mother shouting at him “what have they done to you my baby?” calling him a pedophile.
