“I immediately ran to his window and yelled at him to stop,” said a witness who was “frozen” by the incident.
The woman, aged about 59, was very seriously injured on her entire right side. When the vehicle stopped, it remained on the roadway awaiting assistance. Although she was conscious, she had suffered serious injuries to her leg and arm.
Under the wheels of the truck were still her things, her bag and the motorcycle testifying to the moments of horror she experienced.
An EKAB ambulance crew immediately rushed to the scene for help. The rescuers took the injured woman and took her to the General Hospital of Volos where remains hospitalized.
The 59-year-old was dragged by the truck for at least two and a half meters. When the truck driver realized what was happening, he reportedly shouted in dismay, “Where is he? Where was he found?”
