Kalamata: He continued to steal while a few days before he had been convicted of other thefts

One had his eye on shops and cars 28 years old in Kalamatabut after two failed attempts to break into two restaurants in the coastal city, the police arrested him and as he was pending a recent court decision for other theftsafter his confession, he was sentenced to pre-trial detention and taken to Nafplion prisons.

However, in the previous period he had committed other thefts in a car and shops in Kalamata.

In the early hours of Tuesday, the 28-year-old tried to break into two health shops on Navarinou Street. But he was noticed by a passing citizen, who informed the Police. A short time later, police officers from the Crime Prevention and Suppression Team located him and arrested him.

However, as it subsequently emerged from the preliminary investigation carried out by the Kalamata Security Sub-Directorate, during the period from June 26 to July 25, the 28-year-old had committed 3 more thefts of cars and a shop, where he withdrew money.

And other thefts

In particular, on the night from June 26 to 27 in Kalamata, he broke into a car, from which he took the amount of 1,500 euros.

Also, on the night of July 19 to 20 in Kalamata, he broke into a perfume shop and took the amount of 250 euros.

Finally, on July 25, he broke into a car and took 5 euros worth of coins.

A decision of the Three-member Misdemeanor Appeal Court of Kalamata was pending against him, for theft, where he had been sentenced to 42 months in prison. A preliminary investigation into the case is being carried out by the Kalamata Security Directorate.
