THE tough murder occurred on the evening of Sunday, August 31 shortly after 11 p.m. The unfortunate woman, after filing a complaint with the police about domestic violence from the alleged abuser, who had left the house, returned to it last Sunday night and after an intense argument, beat his 40-year-old wife and stabbed her in the chest and neck resulting in her fatal injury. The couple had three children, one of whom is an adult and lives permanently in Kalamata and the other two are younger.

The police launched a manhunt in order to locate the 49-year-old, who was finally arrested on Monday morning in Keri in the building where he was working, in order to be taken to the Criminal Prosecutor of Zakynthos. In fact, the husband killer had previously engaged the authorities again for offenses related to domestic violence and in June of this year he was arrested again for other offenses and taken to the competent Prosecutor’s Office.
