Dimitris Tsironis lost his battle for life at the age of 62. He was a PASOK MP of Artas in the period 2007-2009. In recent years he bravely fought cancer.

Dimitris Tsironis served as President and Vice-President of the Standing Parliamentary Committee on Production and Trade. He was the President of the Pre-Investigation and a member of the Parliament’s Investigative Committees. He was a member of the Committee on Regions and the Subcommittee on Island and Mountain Areas of the Parliament.

The deceased was a Member of Parliament for Arta in the period 2007-2009 and tirelessly served public life as Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Standing Parliamentary Committee on Production and Trade, Chairman of the Pre-Investigation and member of the Parliament’s Investigative Committees.

He was at the vanguard of the struggles for social justice and his political path is a beacon of morality and honesty.
