The fire that broke out around 19.00 on Wednesday afternoon in low vegetation on Athanasiou Diakou Street in Ano Korydallos, Attica, was contained.
According to the fire department, the fire was burning near houses.
Ground and air forces were mobilized to put out the fire, namely 72 firefighters with 4 groups of infantry units, 14 vehicles and 3 helicopters, while there is assistance from volunteer firefighters and water tankers from the OTA.

Vehicular traffic has been restored
Vehicle traffic in the Korydallos area was restored shortly after 8:30 p.m.
Earlier, due to the fire, the police proceeded to stop the traffic of vehicles on Athanasios Diakou Street from the height of Potamou Street and the traffic of vehicles on the regional road of Haidari – Schistos Korydallos from the height of Ieras Odos upstream to Kourydallos.
