The journalist testified for 3.5 hours Tasos Telloglou to the prosecutor of the Supreme Court Isidore Doyako who is conducting a preliminary criminal investigation into the surveillance case against PASOK-KINAL president Nikos Androulakis and journalists Thanasis Koukakis and Stavros Malihoudis.

I didn’t know what to say to him about it and I talked about the research we have done in the last months in the inside story about the use of predator, i.e. the software that monitors mobile phones. And I explained to him that in our opinion this works in addition to the legal attachments, that is, both are used.
Mr. Dogiakos asked me a question about a post I had made about the prime minister and I told him that the problem of the services that wanted to get such software it is much older than today. This has been magnified after 2020. Persons who played a role earlier, the same persons are today and that if we want to know what has been done with the legal attachments in the past, then all the government has done is to change the law that voted in March 2021 to retroactively bar those under surveillance from asking a judge to be informed, a right that existed until 2021 and has since been repealed.”
When asked by the journalists if Kyriakos Mitsotakis was being watched, the journalist replied:
“There were indications that his phones were not safe as there were indications from the KKE in 2017. The Greek agencies have been trying to buy these softwares since 2013, we have found efforts by the Greek agencies and in 2015, there has been a huge leak in wikileaks of the Italian company where all the negotiations with the Greek government were from 2013 to 2015. And he continued:
“The Greek agencies, we have evidence that they are trying to buy these softwares and older than 2013, these softwares were not purchased for reasons unknown to me. There were telecommunications security complaints in 2017 and 2018 that did not just concern Mr. Mitsotakis. For these complaints there is no result and there can be no result since the law of 2021 exists. The law of 2021 has retroactive effect, that is, it also applies to the attachments that have been made before the law so the discussion is dead ends if this law is not changed.
It was not from the beginning the choice to buy the predator, the first missile sightings related to another program, “Pegasus”, which “burned out” in 2018. And “Pegasus”, as the European Parliament says, offers certain safeguards such as it leaves the locks up, i.e. the authority can come and ask for the locks while the predator does not have such a thing. Regarding the malware on political figures, the journalist mentioned:
“I have seen links like this on other phones, I don’t know if they have checked it. I have seen such links exist on phones during the investigation of the inside story on non-political persons, I have not seen on political persons”.
