Opinion – Marcelo Katsuki: Taste SP and other festivals around the country

The sixth edition of the Taste São Paulo Festival takes place from the 12th to the 14th and from the 19th to the 21st of August at Clube Hípico de Santo Amaro. The event promises more than 100 dishes (between R$20 and R$45) with the presence of chefs such as Lígia Karazawa, Bela Gil, Telma Shiraishi, Carole Crema, Rodrigo Oliveira, Raul Lemos, Edson Leite, among others. A tip: this year it will be possible to book online for classes with the chefs using the Get In app, avoiding queues. Clube Hípico is located at Rua Visconde de Taunay, 508, in Santo Amaro. The 25th Tiradentes Culture and Gastronomy Festival, produced by Fartura Gastronomia, takes place from August 19 to 28 in the Historic Center of Tiradentes, Minas Gerais. There will be ten days of event and around 60 thousand people are expected to attend classes with chefs, buy local products, participate in dinners with chefs from Minas Gerais and also from different states such as Jefferson Rueda, Onildo Rocha, Tássia Magalhães, Caio Soter, Fabricio Lemos, Monica Rangel and many others. The Festival of Culture and Gastronomy of Salvador, also known as “Tempero Bahia”, reaches its fifth edition with the participation of 30 restaurants. This year’s theme is Brazilian wine and each chef will use the drink in the composition of the dish or in a pairing proposal. The event takes place from August 25 to September 4 and has the participation of restaurants from Vilas do Atlântico to the Historic Center of Salvador.
