The amount of water falling in Volos from the first minutes of the storm is unprecedented and the roads have turned into rivers, while at the same time in many areas hail is falling and causing damage to cars, which have stopped due to the lack of visibility that does not exceed twenty meters. Dozens of house and apartment awnings have been destroyed, while trees and tree branches have fallen on many streets and parks of Volos.

An alarm has already been raised in the Fire Department which receives many calls for help, but also in the Central Port Authority of Volos as many boats have been found at sea, despite the warnings of the meteorologists.

It is worth noting that lightning is constantly falling, the hail continued until 17.05 and there is zero traffic on the streets of Volos.

A tornado “hit” Lemnos

Impressive images are coming today, Sunday, August 14, from Lemnos, as the weather conditions created the conditions for the appearance of a tornado.

At that time, in fact, Scandinavian visitors had just disembarked from the plane of the charter flight, who stopped to capture the natural phenomenon with their mobile phones.

The duration of the whirlwind lasted five minutes and fortunately caused no damage.
