The two parents of the 8-year-old girl were released, after the apologies they gave, with the agreement of the investigator and the prosecutor, who set for the father the restrictive condition of the ban on leaving the country, a condition they also imposed on the mother, who is also required to appear two times a month at a Police Station.

The child had been found unconscious in an abandoned vehicle, belonging to his grandfather, by his parents and camp residents who were searching for him. The car had been abandoned for years and had no door handles. So when they found the little girl, they broke the window to get her out and took her to the “Georgios Gennimatas” hospital, where she was pronounced dead, which is estimated to have been caused by heatstroke.
