Alimos Classic Car Sunday 3 will host both privateers with dazzling classic, vintage and newer cars as well as clubs built by die-hard fans of Fiat 500s, Renault 2CVs, the all-important Alpha Romeo.
“It’s two Sundays celebrating history, aesthetics and culture that have become an institution” stated the mayor of Alimos, Andreas Kondylis for the two spectacular Sundays, adding: “On September 11 they celebrate classic cars which bring to Alimos around 20,000 spectators and one Sunday after, on the 18th, the classic immortal motorcycles. Hundreds of the most beautiful and rare specimens, next to the sea, on our coastal promenade that turns into a beautiful festival of all the senses for over twelve hours».
The Alimos Classic Car Sunday 3 is organized this year by the Municipality of Alimos and Nikos Mastorakis, with the friendly contribution of FILPA (which is celebrating its 50 years) and will host both private individuals with dazzling classicsvintage and newer cars but also clubs made by the fanatical fans of the Fiat 500, the Renault 2CV, the most important Alpha Romeo. Of course, the dynamic category of Power Cars with mostly American “monsters” will once again gather the youngest audience this year, while the “historic military” category with many… century-old gunpowder-smoked vehicles will not be missing.
Cars that many will never see in person, in their lifetime – let alone so many together, that it takes your breath away.
The organizers consider it an important change this year highlighting the most popular car which will be done by online voting. The owner of the “winning” four-wheeler will receive a luxury Alimos entertainment package, from a VIP weekend treatment at the organized beach, to a free pass for two, all season at Cine Alimos. All the crews of the classic masterpieces, get gold-embroidered commemorative caps, posters and other gifts, along with hospitality in the shade under dozens of umbrellas and having the opportunity to get to know each other, around cozy tables, in the transformed Cine Alimos.

In collaboration with Greek Classic Motorcycle Friends Club and Nikos Mastorakis, the Municipality of Alimos organizes the second Alimos Classic Motorbike Sunday where on the sidewalk they go down without any… help, very old but historic motorcycles which retain the strength, spirit and endurance which they had, the day they came out of their great factories. Over 100 large (in age and displacement) “machines” from the humble Vespa to the cocky Harleythe whole family of unique two-wheelers will spread out, in rock’n’roll and hard rock, for about 5 hours by the sea, and the entrance for the public will be from 2:00 in the afternoon until 7:30, of course free.
