Police officers of the Narcotics Prosecution Sub-Directorate of the Organized Crime Directorate handcuffed a 22-year-old foreigner, a member of a transnational criminal group, who tried to import through the Athens International Airport “El. Venizelos”, more than 800 grams of cocaine by the ingestion method.
In particular, in the context of targeted controls to prevent the importation of narcotic substances into our country, via air routes, as well as from the use of information, other police actions and profiling, the 22-year-old was identified and his criminal activity determined.
In more detail, by police officers of the Athens Airport Narcotics Enforcement Department, it was established that the 22-year-old, coming from a foreign country, transported 72 improvised oval packages, which contained 840 grams of cocaine, by ingestion.
In addition, 560 euros as well as a mobile phone were found and confiscated.
The arrested person, with the case filed against him for violating the drug legislation, was taken to the competent Prosecutor.
