In conducting audits at the National Intelligence Service (EFP), the Directorate for Combating Special Violent Crimes of the Hellenic Police (DAEEB) and the Directorate for Management and Analysis of Information of the Hellenic Police (DIDAP), the Communications Privacy Assurance Authority (ADAE) is proceeding, as the Independent Authority itself states in a relevant press release which he issued. In fact, the checks will start in the next period, while the decision to conduct them was taken unanimously by the Plenary Assembly of the ADAE.
In detail, the relevant press release issued by ADAE states the following: “The Plenary Session of the Authority for Ensuring the Privacy of Communications (ADAE) unanimously decided today, August 29, 2022, to carry out checks in the immediate future, in the following services: National Intelligence Service (EYP), Special Violent Crimes Directorate of the Hellenic Police (DAEEB) and Directorate of Information Management and Analysis of the Hellenic Police (DIDAP)”.
