Paleontologists are working hard in the backyard of a house in Portugal to unearth the remains of the largest dinosaur ever found in Europe, the University of Lisbon announced today.

Fossilized bones of the dinosaur were found in 2017 by the owner of a plot of land in the city of Pombal, in central Portugal, during reconstruction work.

Earlier this month, Spanish and Portuguese paleontologists excavated the site to uncover what they believe is Europe’s largest dinosaur: estimated to have been about 25 meters long and lived 145 million years ago, according to the University’s science department.

The skeleton belongs to a sauropod, a type of plant-eating, four-legged dinosaur with a very long neck and tail.
