Volos: 70-year-old stalker had become a “shadow” of her neighbor – She left her letters

The “shadow” of a neighbor of her age turned 70 in Nea Ionia, Volos. He followed her every day on her outings and sought to communicate with her in every way, even with notes in the mailbox. She was literally obsessed. In fact, he continues to exhibit this disturbing behavior, while he has been sentenced to three months in prison for threatening.

According to taxidromo, after yet another disturbance the day before yesterday morning with a new letter in the mailbox, the sufferer couldn’t take it anymore and contacted the authorities. He was very frightened by the acts and reported a threat.

Recently, the situation has worsened, as she receives messages in her mailbox on a daily basis, as she reportedly reported to the authorities.

After this development, the 70-year-old ended up in handcuffs at the Volos Police Department and yesterday she was taken to the Volos Prosecutor’s Office for further action.

She reportedly says that she knows the victim and likes her. To repeated questions asked why she is behaving like this even when she has been convicted and there is a risk of even serving a prison sentence, she answers: “I don’t abuse her, I don’t threaten her.”

The Volos Prosecutor’s Office ordered a preliminary examination in order to collect all the evidence of the case, investigating whether the criminal offense of the threat is substantiated.

It should be noted that article 333 of the Criminal Code, which refers to the threat, reads as follows: Whoever causes another to fear or worry by threatening him with violence or another illegal act or omission, shall be punished by imprisonment for up to one year or a fine. With the penalty of the previous paragraph, whoever, without the threat of violence or other illegal act, causes terror or concern to another by persistently stalking or monitoring him, such as in particular by seeking constant contact through the use of telecommunications or electronic means or by repeated visits, is also punished in his family, social or work environment, despite his expressed contrary will.

After this development, all the messages will be attached to the file of the case, while statements will be taken and if the offense is established, the case will be referred to an explicit trial of the Single-member Misdemeanor Court of Volos.
