“We continue to offer quality public space,” said Kostas Bakoyannis.

Two old sports facilities in the area of Ampelokipi, in which for many years there had been no upgrading intervention, are today “transformed” into two new, modern basketball courts and welcome Athenians, of all ages, who love sports.

The Municipality of Athens, as part of the pioneering program “Adopt your city”, proceeded to reconstruct the sports facilities located on Mileon Street, accepting the donation from Novibet and Yiannis Antetokounmpo, through the corporate responsibility initiative “Giant Heart* .

The two renovated, open fields, near GADA, were functionally and aesthetically upgraded, ensuring at the same time easy and safe access to the residents of the area.

“The goal we have set, by the end of this term, is to complete the reconstruction of most of the open sports areas of Athens. Our allies in the effort to offer more high-quality, public space to the Athenians are companies like Novibet, whom we sincerely thank for their contribution”, said the Mayor of Athens, Kostas Bakoyannis, in a statement, during the inauguration of the two stadiums, and he added: “With the project of upgrading the fields in each of the 129 neighborhoods of the city, we want to achieve one more goal: To feed the new generation with a desire to love sports and to be inspired by its values and ideals.”
