The woman contacted the Police and reported insults and threats

A fierce fight broke out during the vacation of the German couple aged 60 who are vacationing in a village of South Pelion. Last night the woman contacted the Police and reported insults and threats.

The man ended up in handcuffs at the Department and was eventually released on a verbal order from the prosecutor until it was established what happened and the preliminary police investigation was completed.

The police officers were running last night to find a translator to communicate with the arrested man and his wife and a lawyer was sent from Volos to assist in the process.

However, the 60-year-old did not explain exactly what happened and limited herself to reporting threats and insults.

For his part, her husband reported his own version of the tense scene.

Domestic violence has been on the rise recently and it seems that it is not just a Greek phenomenon.

Police and judicial authorities are also dealing with incidents caused between tourists vacationing in Volos and Magnesia despite the fact that they are spending moments of relaxation and entertainment in the prefecture.

Incidents of domestic violence are now taking on terrifying proportions.

The Police Department of South Pelion continues the preliminary investigation. When the case file is forwarded to the courts, the Volos Prosecutor’s Office will decide on further actions.
