He submitted his resignation to the President of the Council of State and vice-president of the Court after his name was involved in a criminal case. In his resignation, he denies, according to information, the accusations attributed to him and points out that he is resigning in order to defend the prestige of the court and in order to defend himself.
The name of the supreme judge was involved in a case of drug use by young people in the southern suburbs of Athens and especially in the apartment building where he lives.
After informing residents to EL.AS. that young people are moving suspiciously in the area, a check was carried out by DIAS men on these young people and in their possession was found a small amount of cocaine, while when asked where they got them, they answered that they took them from a tenant of the apartment building and indicated the court official .
Police then searched the house where the judge was staying and found remnants of the same drug in a bottle.
A case file has been filed and forwarded to the judicial authorities.
