Ioanna Mandrou

For the second time and for another four years, Dimitris Vervesos was elected president of the Athens Bar Association, who in the second round of the election contest collected 59.78% of the votes.

His fellow candidate Dimitris Anastasopoulos received 40.22% while in the second round of the legal elections out of the 23 thousand lawyers in Athens voted 8 thousand with a turnout of 34.55%.

Following the announcement of the results, the re-elected chairman of the DSA stated:

“I am grateful to the Athenian Lawyers who renewed their trust in me and stood by me. I will rise to the level of my responsibility.

It was a resounding recognition of the work that was done during our tenure in very difficult conditions, due to the pandemic.

I will never forget this great honor you reserved for me.

I will give all my strength for the industry.

I want us all to take steps forward together.

To upgrade our prestige, to improve our daily life, to support those who need the protection of the Association the most, to defend the individual rights and the social freedoms of the citizens.

The struggle will be continuous, daily, with unity, cooperation and hard work.

I congratulate Dimitris Anastasopoulos for the fight he gave.

We will complete our vision for the Advocacy of tomorrow “.
