Immigrant trafficker aged 13 – What his 17-year-old girlfriend who was arrested as a passenger claimed in her apology

Thirteen year old allegedly trafficked irregular migrants with a stolen car, for an amount of 350 euros, which he was going to collect for a route from Kavala to Thessaloniki. This was revealed by His 17-year-old girlfriend (domestic), which was arrested as a passenger of the particular vehicle and apologized to the investigator today.

The 17-year-old was finally released on the condition that her custody be assigned to a juvenile guardian, while the driver is wanted by the police authorities, after he managed to escape.

It was another case of illegal trafficking of immigrants that was uncovered by the police of Thessaloniki, when last Saturday afternoon a car driving on Egnatia Odos (at the Analipsi toll road) was spotted carrying three immigrants from Syria. The driver of the vehicle did not stop at the police signal, developed speed and a chase ensued. Finally, it collided with protective bars, as a result of which one of the smugglers was slightly injured.

The 17-year-old was arrested on the spot, while the driver abandoned the car and disappeared. In her apology, the minor defendant pointed to her 13-year-old friend (local) as the driver, saying that she was persuaded by two immigrants to do the transport for money. As she apologized, she did not know anything about the transport, while the vehicle used – according to her – belongs to her aunt and they removed it without her consent.
