According to the police announcement, the perpetrator, driving his car and wearing a glove on his left hand, threw the nest wrapped in a paper towel into the settlement.

A stray dog ​​at the scene ate the nest and died after about 20 minutes. As it subsequently emerged from a relevant veterinarian’s opinion, the unfortunate animal’s death was caused by poisoning.

The identification of the perpetrator and the investigation of the crime were achieved following the appropriate use of closed-circuit video recording material, which was installed and recorded the movements of the perpetrator.

The 56-year-old, with the case against him, will be brought before the Prosecutor of Volos, while the prescribed administrative fine of 30,000 euros was imposed on him. A preliminary investigation is underway by the Almyros Police Department, according to ertnews.gr.
