In Perissos the farewell ceremony – Kostas Kazakou’s wish was to donate his body to the Medical School
In Perissos, at the political funeral of Kostas Kazakou, relatives and friends gathered to say goodbye to the unforgettable actor.
The ceremony was attended by his son, Konstantinos Kazakos, his daughter, Jenny Kazakou, Tania Trypi as well as his wife, Jenny Kollia, and their three children, Alexandros, Electra and Maya.
“Present” were also the general secretary of the Central Committee of the KKE, Dimitris Koutsoubas and his predecessor, Aleka Papariga.
The farewell ceremony began with the voice of Costas Kazakos telling about his acquaintance with Nikos Kavadias and then reciting Kavadias’ poem, “Mal du depart” (I will always be an ideal and unworthy lover…).
On behalf of the Central Committee of the KKE, the farewell speech was given by Aleka Papariga, who began by noting with emotion: “With deep sadness, Kostas, the KKE, the members, the friends of the party, the popular world that you loved say goodbye to you very. We say goodbye to you as the great communist artist, our beloved, our precious companion in the small and the big, in the easy and the difficult, in the joys and sorrows of life and struggle.”
It is recalled that Kostas Kazakos passed away on September 13, at the age of 87, after a few weeks of hospitalization in Evangelismos, as he was suffering from a serious respiratory problem. His wish was to donate his body to the Medical School.
