The case has been taken over by the Narcotics Prosecution Sub-Directorate of the Attica Security Directorate, in collaboration with the DEA Office of the US Embassy in Athens.
A large amount of imported cocaine, with a total weight of 173 kg and 450 grams, was located in a specially designed cache in a refrigerated container coming from South Africa to Greece.
The authorities located the specific refrigerated container in the port of Piraeus and put it under surveillance.
The expected benefit from the sale of the seized quantity of cocaine is calculated, according to ELAS, to exceed the monetary amount of 6,000,000 euros.
The case has been taken over by the Narcotics Prosecution Sub-Directorate of the Attica Security Directorate, in collaboration with the DEA Office of the US Embassy in Athens.
The inspection of the container was carried out with the participation of the 3rd Customs Directorate of Piraeus, the Directorate of Narcotics and Smuggling of the Coast Guard and the Narcotics Enforcement Department of the SDOE.
